Headpiece Care FAQs
Care instructions. When you are done splashing in the ocean or pool, take your headpiece off and run it under a gentle stream of Lukewarm/cold water for a few minutes slowly rotating it to get into every crevice to ensure the salt/chlorine is removed.
Headbands: Do not use soap or any chemicals/cleaners ,just gentle water. After the headpiece is thoroughly rinsed, lay completely flat on a dry towel with the alligator clip side down first for 3-5 hours depending on humidity it may take longer or shorter time. After 3-5 hours passes turn it over and lay it flat on the other side for another 3-5 hours or until dry. Do not use any type of heating elements to dry quicker such as a hair dryer, heater, etc. Do not dry in the sun or in cold damp places. Indoors is best.
Halo/Crowns: Do Not use soap or any chemicals/cleaners ,just gentle water. After headpiece is thoroughly rinsed, place headpiece on a Styrofoam mannequin head to dry completely before next use. Do not use any type of heating elements to dry quicker such as a hair dryer, heater, etc. Do not dry in the sun or in cold damp places. Indoors is best.
Store in a dry place away from sunlight.
Important: Store all halo/crown pieces on a foam mannequin head when not in use.
Metal component care All metal pieces have been coated with 3 coats of lacquer. This lacquer is marine grade however pieces such as head chains have not been coated. I use chains with a great underwater history. However, using you head chain underwater could possibly cause the chain to rust or change color. USE HEAD CHAINS AT YOUR OWN RISK UNDERWATER. Head chains are detachable. Always dry properly as outlined in the FAQ guide on AGlassCrown home page.
Important things to note. Please take care of your pieces. Do remember these are delicate works of art and should be treated as thus. They can and will break if dropped from a heights great enough. Use common sense and apply your best judgement. Proper care will greatly extend the life of you head piece. I cannot be held responsible for improper care or use. Important As with all Resin headpieces, please make sure to store your Halo or resin headdress on a mannequin or foam head in a dry cool place. This is to prolong the lifespan of the pieces as well as keep the form from warping or bending. Failure to do so could cause your piece to deform or become unwearable.
Please understand that we take action to limit or eliminate all imperfections whether they are natural or unnatural. Due to the nature of the products these imperfections may or may not exist. Please always review pictures well and ask questions if you have concerns. Thank you.
